Day 1: Hanoi
After arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, get transferred to your hotel at the city center. Check in and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi
After breakfast, drive to Halong for the city tour which is about 3.5 hours’ drive from Hanoi. After reaching Halong, have lunch at a local restaurant and later take a boat trip cruising through the emerald waters and between the limestone outcrops. Visit Thien Cung cave or Sungsot cave and enjoy the stunning views. Travel back to Halong city from where you’ll be driven back to Hanoi. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3: Hanoi
After breakfast, proceed for the day tour starting with Ho Chi Minh Complex which features the life of the nation’s founder, Ho Chi Minh. Visit his mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday, and through October to November) where his body is preserved and his rural styled house on stilts. Head to one of Hanoi’s important landmarks, the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara or Buddha of Compassion and built in the 11th Century. Afterward, visit the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty.
In the afternoon, continue your full day tour by visiting the Museum of Military History and the Museum of Ethnology moving on to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Later, embark on a one-hour cycle tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi and finally visit the Thang Long Opera Theatre to watch a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Return to the hotel for the night stay.
Day 4: Hanoi – Tam Coc & Bich Dong Cave – Hanoi
After breakfast, leave for Hoa Lu which is over 2.5 hours away, to visit the famous ancient temples of Le and The Dinh Dynasties. Later head to Tam Coc driving through picturesque roads and crossing through quint villages, lush rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops. After lunch, take a boat trip to visit Tam Coc where you’ll witness the karst formations as you pass along its bays and visit one of the many caves carved through the limestone. After the day’s adventure, drive back to Hanoi. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 5: Hanoi Departure
Enjoy your time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for departure flight.
