Day 01: Guwahati to Cherrapunjee (4400 ft / 100 kms / 04 hrs)
On arrival at Guwahati (GAU) Airport / GHY Railway Station & transfer to Cherrapunjee (4400 ft.), called 'Scotland of the East". En route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 02: Excursion in Cherrapunjee (4400 ft / 65 kms / 03 hrs)
After an early breakfast, visit the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, en route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 03: Cherrapunjee to Shillong (4900 ft) – excursion at Dawki (4906 ft /100 kms / 04 hrs)
After an early breakfast drive Dawki enjoy boat ride on river while returning to visit Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living room bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong (sightseeing)
After breakfast drive to Mawphlang (35kms/ 1 ½ hour’s drive approx) At Mawphlang visit sacred groove, later drive to Mawsynram (26 Kms from Shillong) it is known for the Giant Stalagmite formation shaped into a "Shivalinga" and found inside a cave known locally as 'Mawjymbuin'. A unique geological formation called "Symper Rock”. Over night at the hotel in Shillong. Note- Most waterfalls dry in winter. Overnight Stay at Shillong.
Day 05: Shillong to Guwahati (2231 ft /100 kms / 04 hrs)
After early breakfast drive to Guwahati “Capital city of Assam”. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. Freshen up then proceed to visit Maa Kamakhya temple - The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya, an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva's tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his sudarshan chakra. Also visit Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, Balaji Temple, state Zoo. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 06: Departure
After breakfast Check-out from the hotel and take the departure transfers to Guwahati Airport (GAU) for your onward journey.
